Thankyou for lending me this body,
a body I intend on returning to you a little more rusty than I received it.
Fill it from head to toe with this life.
Fill it with food from every country.
Wine from extraordinary moments.
Cover it in water from every ocean.
Mud from every land.
Bruises and scars from the lessons I learn.
Kisses from those I love.
Stretch marks because I grow.
Wrinkles because I live.
This body of ours will be pushed further than I think it can sustain.
This body of ours will be loved the way all things should.
So on this sleepy Sunday morning, I will try my best to add another mark to this body, so when you receive it back, you will see just how extraordinary this life was.
